Slingerland Cloud Badge 1930s Marching Snare This well used 14” x 10” (shell size, rim to rim is 12") marching drum is far from mint but in surprisingly good condition for being nearly 100 years old! I’m estimating it at 1930s due to the badge information I found in the Vintage Drum Guide. https://www.vintagedrumguide.com/drcjw/article_1_badges.html This is unquestionably a “brass and black” cloud badge which was used on marching drums from 1928 to 1941 and again briefly after WW2. However, the throw-off had changed by then. The throw-off and other hardware appear correct for the 1930s. Unfortunately, Slingerland did not serialize their drums until the 1960s so the exact year is hard to determine. Obviously, the heads have been replaced but otherwise this drum is 100% original. A picture is worth a thousand words, so -- click on a photo and determine the condition for yourself based on what you observe. The photos are part of the description.
