This is a beautiful abstract modern glass obelisk sculpture signed by North Carolina artist David Nichols. It measures approximately 11" tall by 4" wide and is made of cased crystal clear glass with deep pink glass which creates stunning swirls throughout. It is signed on the lower part of the sculpture. Excellent preowned condition with no chips or cracks. Please see all images. David Nichols was an award-winning American glass artist known for his intricate blown and studio art glass pieces. His work is featured in many studios around the world and often features vibrant colors and natural themes, such as his dogwood-inspired designs and jack-in-the-pulpit vases. Nichols had strong ties to Western North Carolina, and his contributions to the Studio Glass Movement are recognized in the region.
