I got this for Christmas 40 years a go. I have not played it since 198? I put 2 good D batteries in it to test. The instructions say A red zero 0 will appear in the digital display window and quickly disappear. Two flashing red dashes- - will appear in its placs. Then press any button on the key board panel.You will hear a motor turning inside the tower and the two red flashes will disappear. Three lighted windows will appear one by one from top to bottom. I got the red zero and the two - -,but when I pressed any button..I got.nothing. So I dont know what's wrong. It comes with everything pictured. Yes top of box is rough and has duct tape.
