Jillian Barber was born in Staffordshire, England and resides in Jamestown, Rhode Island. An award winning ceramic sculptor, she is well known for fantasy masks sculpted from individual portrait castings, and for imaginative, expressive mythical animals. This estate sale find hanging or tabletop planter has a lizard motif. Handpainted, signed Jillian Barber along the bottom edge. The bottom has a mandala, multi-color pattern. The Mandala represents the universe in its ideal form, and its creation signifies the transformation of a universe of suffering into one of joy. Measures approximately 6.75” high x 6.25” dia Condition is good, some light crazing. Hanging lines could use some cleaning.
