Early 19th C. Wedgwood Blue JASPERWARE 5 ¼” Biscuit Barrel Jar & Lid , c. 1800’s A beautiful late 18th/early 19th century biscuit barrel jar with lid by Wedgwood in the Jasperware pattern. Pattern has the classic blue color with trees and 'sacrifice figures' commonly used in Jasperware. Bottom is marked WEDGWOOD dating the piece prior to 1860. Biscuit jar is dark Cobalt Blue produced between 1777-1820. Measures approx 5 ¼" high without the lid x 5 ¾" wide x 4½" in diameter at the rim EPNS engraved on the handle Crafted In England In Excellent antique condition. Interestingly, the inside of the lid is engraved with a commemorative message from 1968, given to a friend. Thanks for looking
