Double signed in the image and in pencil E. T. Hurley 1914 “the trees in Eden Park”(under mat). A original warm tranquil stamped impressed copper plate image of a hill side grove of trees in a play of shadow and air. Hurley is a well listed, prolific and highly celebrated artist primarily through his etchings and decorative work with Rookwood Pottery, Cincinnati Ohio. Producing literary thousands of beautifully rendered and highly valued works of pottery and hundreds of wonderful mission period et.al works on canvas and paper. His original etchings, paintings and pottery examples are and have been displayed and cherished nationally and worldwide by many museums, art galleries as well as public, private and corporate collectors. The image has been professionally matted in its original frame. There are several other notes under the matting that Hurley wrote. (In pencil “Trees in Eden Park” 5 impression, Hur60, #303, and 1500). The image is 9” X 12” and in frame 15 1/8” X 18 1/8” .
