- This SERVO controlled subwoofer is considered one of the most accurate subwoofers ever made. Original price was $999.95. - Any speaker moves forward with the signal to produce sound. But then it passively rebounds backwards when the signal is removed. That also produces sound, and is most pronounced with the larger speakers in a subwoofer. This muddies the sound, and causes the lower notes to sound fuzzy or boomy and not integrate well with the main speakers, which have smaller drivers. - The servo electronics built into this sub, counteract this rebound in REAL TIME so that the output exactly matches the input signal. The result is extremely tight bass which integrates perfectly with the main speakers. You won't find this anywhere else. - Included is glass I had made to protect the top surface of the speaker, which cost over $300 to make. Finish is high-gloss piano black.
